Machining Titanium Thick Wall Tubes

Seamless, Titanium thick wall precision machining tubes machined from Titanium solid bar, which available with ground, polished, bright annealed or pickled surface. It’s the primary form of various of subsea housings.

 

Material Scope

Titanium – Grade 2, Grade 5, Grade 7, Grade 9, Grade 12.,etc

Also specialize in other exotic metals like Nickel, Zirconium, Tantalum., etc.

 

Size Range

Outside Diameter: 90 mm ~ 600 mm

Wall thickness: 7 mm ~ 50mm (tolerance: +/-5%)

Production Process

Confirm the position of the hole on the cross section of Titanium Solid Bar

1. Drilling

The first step, the hole diameter generally not more than 80mm;

Diameter Tolerance: IT13~IT11;
Inner Surface Roughness, Ra 50~12.5μm

2. Counterbore

  Diameter Tolerance: IT11~IT10;
  Inner Surface Roughness, Ra 12.5~6.3μm

3. Reaming

  Diameter Tolerance: IT9~IT7;
  Inner Surface Roughness, Ra 3.2~0.8μm

4. Boring (Finish machining)

   Diameter Tolerance: IT7~IT6;

   Inner Surface Roughness, Ra 0.4~0.05μm
