Light castable is a mixture of light refractory aggregate, powder, binder and admixture.Due to the small volume density of lightweight castable, low thermal conductivity, so also known as heat insulation refractory.Light castable can be divided into semi-light castable, light castable and ultra-light castable according to volume density.According to the use of temperature divided into low temperature thermal insulation refractory castable, thermal insulation refractory castable, high temperature thermal insulation refractory castable.

Castable is a kind of granular and powder material which is made of refractory material add some amount of binder.High fluidity,so suitable for the unshaped refractoriness which is formed in the way of pouring.Compared with other unshaped refractory materials,the castable has more binder and moisture content,better fluidity,so the unshaped refractory material is widely used,the materials and binder can be chosen according to the usage conditions.And the castable can not only be directly poured into the lining of the kilns,but also be made into precast block in the way of pouring or vibrating.
